The Story

Science and medicine can only say what is true about nature, and is true regardless of the descriptive power of science and medicine to explain it. The activity of making art is an inversion of science and medicine: creating something that would not exist without a mind to imagine it. We recognize our shared humanity in that activity because it rests in human nature. My choice to make art is an elevation of human nature.
